Our Community
We are not a call center in another state. We live here, we were evacuated with you, and we are still here.

Rooted Where We Serve
Ashley has called Ruidoso home since 2013. She has watched wildfire take hundreds of homes here, watched the burn scar send floodwater through town every summer after, and watched one insurance company after another decide this community was no longer worth writing.
Rather than leave with them, she built the case for staying. That work — on the Rotary, the CWPP, and the wildfire alliance, and in front of the people who decide whether this town is insurable — is as much a part of Summit Crest Insurance as any policy we write.
How We Show Up
Defensible-Space Seminars
We hold seminars so homeowners can learn what underwriters actually score — brush clearance, roof material, vents, ember zones — and prove their homes are worth insuring.
The CWPP and the Wildfire Alliance
Ashley serves on the Community Wildfire Protection Plan and the local wildfire alliance, working on the mitigation that keeps this community insurable.
Making the Case for Ruidoso
When the carriers started leaving, Ashley went to the Department of Insurance and the state fire marshal, and brought Verisk and IBHS to town to see the mitigation work for themselves.
Showing Up After the Loss
Through two fires and a flood, we have filed claims for our neighbors while our own office was under water. That is the part of this job that matters most.
